I came to Guadalajara from Brooklyn….
to attend a friend’s wedding and I returned 5 times over 2 years, staying at La Perla, a small and wonderful boutique hotel. I was making photographs all the time; and I found a sense of creativity and community, here. Soon I was looking for a studio and place to live. Renting a house on Calle Justo Sierra, I began to paint. After a year I had built up a studio, gallery, and a sense of direction in my new art. Of course, I had always painted and I had self-published 4 photography books. I was fortunate to attend the Rhode Island School of Design. And pursue a career in the arts in New York City. So here I am, now, with images to share.
